The Gordon College Jazz Ensemble, The Coy Pond Piranhas, is a 25-piece group that delights the campus and community with performances of favorite jazz standards as well as lesser-known treasures. Students of all majors join friends of the music department to form the ensemble. Opportunities for solo experience and improvisation abound for all instruments, and vocalists from all over campus give flavor to each toe-tapping concert. Many music majors find the Jazz Ensemble an enjoyable break from their required ensembles and a place to "let their hair down."
